The Cambodian Ministry of Economy and Finance has launched the “Cambodia Entrepreneurship National Program” to strengthen support for startups through digital platforms.
Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economics of Cambodia attended the launching ceremony together with relevant ministries, institutions, associations, civil society organizations, development partners, and the private sector. The “Cambodia Startup Program” is jointly organized by Techo Startup Center and “Khmer Enterprise” under the Ministry of Finance and Economics, and aims to connect all stakeholders as a startup ecosystem, Understand new business paths and create mechanisms to help start-ups develop business.
The program aims to provide information related to the entire startup ecosystem through digital platforms, to connect with similar projects in multiple countries such as Singapore startups, Vietnam startups, Thailand startups, etc., to promote and establish regional and even global frameworks for international cooperation.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance and Economics said that in the context of the new crown epidemic, people minimize face-to-face meetings, and digital technology will be the core of providing services or producing goods. Therefore, the program is very important for the link between the public and private institutions and can help SMEs to transform in a digital way.
