Cambodian rubber exports increased according to the Directorate General of Agriculture of Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The rubber industry has been a continuous production industry in Southeast Asian countries for half a century, including Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, and the Philippines.
At present, although the rubber planting industry is affected by the factors of global warming and the reduction of planting labor, these countries, especially Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, and other countries, are still full of planting productivity.
Cambodia’s rubber export revenue reached US$521 million in the first 11 months of this year, according to a report by the Directorate General of Agriculture of Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
The report shows that in the first 11 months of this year, Cambodia exported 31.28 tons of rubber, an increase of 2.69 tons or 9% year-on-year. The average price of Cambodia’s rubber exports this year was US$1,664 per ton, an increase of US$323 or 24.1% year-on-year.
It is reported that Cambodia’s rubber exports in 2020 exceeded 350,000 tons, with a total export value of 482 million US dollars. Cambodian rubber is mainly exported to China, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.
