Cambodian Tiktok Female Players Were Criticized. Recently, some female users of Tiktok in Cambodia have exposed the sexy dressing too much, the pictures are vulgar and even used suggestive language when shooting video works.
Local media reported on July 6 morning that, Prime Minister Hun Sen pointed out when he was about to go to Indonesia to participate in the delegation of the 11th ASEAN Para Games (ASEAN Para Games) that he found that some Cambodian girls did not pay attention to their images when playing Tiktok, and even Excessive use of indecent language.
To this end, he felt very speechless and asked Tiktok(Cambodia) female users to stop this behavior. Prime Minister Hun Sen said: “I found that some Cambodian girls will be too ‘sexy’? Some people directly use very ‘sexy’ language in the video. Some people even say ‘Nothing is cooler than…'”. He said that some words do not need to be finished, it is already clear here.
In addition, he once found that someone was making fun of a boy on Tiktok, and some girls didn’t pay attention to their image when playing Douyin. Not only do they abuse each other, but they also make very rude language.
Regarding this issue, Prime Minister Hun Sen asked these young people to stop doing this on Tiktok. “We have no plans to shut down Tiktok, people can still continue to play, but it’s not a channel for people to use to attack each other,” he said.
It is worth noting that the slogan of Tiktok is “record a good life”. This short video platform has built an “entertainment universe” for people all over the world, adding a lot of fun to public life.
Since the overseas version of Tiktok entered Cambodia, it has been widely used by the local people. More and more people like to shoot short videos to record their lives or share what they see and hear with netizens.
The international version of Tiktok is a new thing on the Cambodian Internet. Due to the content review of the short video platform and the lack of a standardized management mechanism for Internet users’ video creation by relevant local departments. The content of the works has grown savagely, and many people even use vulgar and obscene work to attract attention and focus.
Not only Tiktok but there are also a lot of vulgar and large-scale videos on Facebook, for example, the Cambodian women live stream “eating shoes.”
With the rapid development of the Internet in Cambodia, low-quality videos are overwhelming and readily available. Many minors can easily watch all kinds of online short video content.
If short videos with no nutritional value are flooded, it will not be conducive to the healthy physical and mental growth of minors. And it will also be detrimental to the younger generation to establish correct values and promote society’s active development. In conclusion, the Cambodian Internet supervision system needs to be strengthened urgently.
