On these sad days, we join the Japanese people in mourning and prayers for Abe.
Hun Sen also wrote: “Mr. Shinzo Abe is an outstanding Japanese statesman with outstanding leadership, and his contribution to promoting Japan’s development and Japan’s peace, stability, and prosperity is widely recognized and praised. Abe Shinzo Working closely with me during my tenure as Prime Minister further strengthened Cambodia’s bilateral relationship with Japan, which was elevated to a strategic partnership in 2013. Mr. Abe and his contributions will always be remembered.”
It is worth noting that Shinzo Abe was assassinated while giving a speech in Nara City on the 7th. After the incident, the Special Forces Command of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense stated on the 10th that it will be committed to strengthening the protection of the security of national leaders and senior officials.
Defense Minister noted that the ministry is working with heads of government to maintain territorial integrity and provide security for all Cambodian leaders.
