The first biggest water park in Sihanoukville with an investment of $500,000 will commence building. There will be a new tourism experience project in Westport in the future! According to Cambodian media reports on June 23, a Chinese company will spend US$500,000 to build the first water park in Westport. According to the plan, a variety of water play facilities will be launched.
It is reported that considering the development potential of Sihanoukville, a company decided to invest US$500,000 to build the first water park on the beach of Uchi Die 2 in the 4th district of the city.
The Westport government pointed out that the project just faces the company’s hotel. They want to apply for a space about 20 meters away from the beach without affecting the public beach and build a water park with a width of 100 meters and a length of 150 meters.
The project includes the construction of water volleyball courts, banana boats, rowing boats, pontoons, jet skis, and other recreational facilities. At the same time, rescue personnel is stationed to ensure the safety of tourists.
Westport Governor Guo Zongren expressed his strong support for the water park project plan because the construction site is just opposite the enterprise hotel. In addition, this water sports tourism project is a new tourism product in the province, which will create employment opportunities for the people and attract more tourists.
At the same time, the governor instructed the company to conduct an in-depth study of the socio-economic value of the project in consideration of technical conditions, weather factors, tourist safety, and environmental protection of the project, so that after the provincial government makes an assessment, the report will be submitted to the Cambodian Beach Management and Development Committee for review.
It should be mentioned that in recent years, Westport has developed rapidly, and the infrastructure has been greatly improved to show a new city appearance, and the environmental problems of the beach have also been greatly improved.
As one of the coastal cities in Cambodia, Sihanoukville has 32 islands, many beautiful beaches, rich and superior tourism resources, and huge development potential. The landing of new water tourism projects in the future will be the icing on the cake for its tourism development!
