It is noticed that the Omicron in cases was first confirmed by the PCR test since the latest of December 2021, with very few numbers in cases. then it’s started increasing slightly from the beginning of February 2022, and came to the peak at the middle of the month.

Later, as of February 21, a long line of people could be seen queueing at the ministry, located near Wat Phnom in Daun Penh district, to buy the medication. The number has been increasing daily, and there were nearly 6,000 Omicron cases that had been confirmed and announced by the Ministry that day. A few days later, it came over 7,000 Omicron cases within the last week of February.

Due to the reason that the prime minister pointed out, this year, nearly 90% of the people have been vaccinated against the new crown. The government will not adopt the “lockdown the city” measures like last year. Thus, no lockdown even over 7,000 Omicron cases confirmed. Whether it’s a sudden shock, there are over 10 thousand in Omicron cases announced on the first day of the new month. Even we try to live with COVID-19, which does not mean we’re lacking presentation from it. Let’s do good prevention for yourself, as important as to prevent your family from the COVID-19.
